EFCoCert & ViaSyst tightly cooperate since 2013 within EU funded projects, and ideally complete each other whereby:
- EFCoCert Foundation ensures the development, sustainability and exploitation of competence certification schemes, through an ISO compliant standardisation process, and
- ViaSyst is an IT company whose core business is to design, develop & operate as SaaS (Software as a Service) dematerialized IT solutions dedicated to certification schemes.
EFCoCert & ViaSyst have experience & expertise relevant for the following ERASMUS+ programme:

- ERASMUS+ Strategic Partnership – Exchange of good practices
EFCoCert & ViaSyst is the only dedicated partner tandem in Europe that has the necessary expertise & know-how for:
- developing ISO 17024 compliant EU competence certification schemes,
- operating and broadening the dissemination of these schemes in a scheme owner position, through affiliated certification bodies (CBs),
- proposing a harmonised dematerialised exam, remotely available, consistent for all participating CBs,
- developing & exploiting as a SaaS the necessary IT tools for consistent scheme implementation,
- monitoring CBs’ performance and certification credibility & consistency through a solid integrity program, operated on the IT SaaS platform.

ERASMUS+ PROJECTS
QUEST: Qualifying for the Ultimate Engaging Smart Training
The aim of the project is to:
- Contribute to the harmonization, at European level, of the skills of the Instructional Designer profession
- Facilitate the mobility of Instructional Designers at European level
- Increase the capacity to develop attractive eLearning at European level
- Qualify professionals with previously acquired knowledge and skills in Instructional Design
EU Business Mentor Competence Certification Scheme
The aim of the project is to:
- facilitate mentoring and coaching techniques by development of the business mentor trainings set for relevant horizontal and vertical issues.
- prepare a solid basis for recognition of mentor qualifications: vocabulary, fundamentals and requirements for the mentor and certification bodies using the experience of ADINVEST and the guidance of EFCoCert.

EU WBL Mentor Competence Certification Scheme
Workplace Based Learning (WBL) mentors implementing and organizing WBL in enterprises are in the front-line and at the core of quality WBL playing an important role to achieve a successful WBL procedure. The “European Framework for Quality and Effective Apprenticeships” (October 2017), emphasizes the necessity for teachers, trainers and in company mentors to “update their skills and competences in order to train apprentices according to the latest teaching and training methods and labour market needs”.
The project addresses this necessity by developing a training curriculum and a competence certification scheme for WBL Mentors.
EFCoCert & ViaSyst are in charge of developing the WBL Mentor competence certification scheme.
EU Trainer Certification Scheme
The EU Trainer certification has been developed for trainers who work with adult learners either in enterprises, carrying out induction for newcomers and/or providing training, or outside enterprises, as freelancers or in training organisations. Trainers can be full time professional trainers or part-time or occasional trainers. Certification bodies who deliver this certification are listed on the EFCoCert website.
ERASMUS+ INVOLVEMENT STRATEGY
ViaSyst is dedicated to design, develop and operate SaaS platforms for operating certification schemes, with a particular expertise within competence certification.
Within the “Transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications” Erasmus+ programme priority, the ViaSyst strategy is (in tandem with EFCoCert) to:
- develop and improve dematerialised and remotely operated competence certification schemes enhancing mobility and internationalisation thanks automatic mutual recognition, as well as transparency and comparability of qualifications and learning outcomes,
- innovate and revolutionize the certification with solutions based on open badges technologies for recognition of competences acquired through informal and non-formal learning,
- partner with leading academic and private competence and recognition experts.
